The Insurance Insider is reporting that AIG is exiting its lawyers’ professional liability (LPL) insurance business (as well as some other lines). AIG wrote its LPL business across three platforms, and in the U.S. primarily through its subsidiary Lexington. As has been the story with several other carriers over the years, it is being reported that AIG incurred significant losses writing this line of business at very thin margins.
